The Morning After — not supported?

by Debbie Ridpath Ohi on May 26, 2009

Hm…Love the theme, but the online documentation certainly needs some beefing up and there doesn’t seem to be much online support; I suspect the creator is pretty busy with other lifestuff. I may switch back to Thesis. I like the look of TMA better, but without the support I’m not sure if I’m willing to stick with it. I’ve already paid a developer’s fee for Thesis, and that theme comes with a lot of online support from the developer as well as the online community.

I have some experience hacking WordPress themes to make them do what I want. I’m no HTML/CSS designer but I can usually get themes working. Let me know if you want me to take a look at specific problems.

Thanks, Shane — I appreciate the offer. :-) So far, though, it seems to be going ok… (fingers crossed)

aw.. you can’t give up on tma this quickly. it’s too pretty. i’ve never used wordpress before, but i’m kind of loving it. i’m always checking tma’s discussion board, but it’s hard finding answers to specific answers. if you want, we can email back and forth and try to help each other out! the site i’m developing is at: http://www.ymusicensemble.com

Hi Sen! Love your site so far. I agree that it’s sometimes finding answers to specific questions on the discussion board. Sure, we can do the e-mail thing! But I have to worn you that I’m FAR from a CSS expert and am learning as I go along. :-)

My e-mail is inkygirl [at] gmail [dot] com.

If you use Firefox as your web browser, you DEFINITELY need to download FireBug as an add-on if you need a good tool to examine and play with changes in real time with CSS on any site.

Love FireBug. Also figured out a bunch of The Morning After stuff. My main concern with that theme, tho, is that it’s going to be a MAJOR hassle if I ever need to upgrade the theme. One advantage of Thesis: upgrades are painless because all the changes are kept in one place. :-)
